CYBER VILLAGE SENIOR HOUSING

Mt. Tabor Community Education and Economic Development Corporation (CEED)

Drawing inspiration from a unique shift in the orthagonal grid of the city streets around the site, Cyber Village was designed as two skewed buildings connected by a "hinge" that houses the primary entry, public spaces, lounges, community rooms, management offices, and vertical circulation. The building's facades are comprised of a water-managed stucco system, painted standing seam metal projecting bays, aluminum clad windows, polished face concrete masonry, and black brick. Each material is deployed to provide a residential scale to a relatively large building, to relate in color and texture to thier immediate neighbors, and to speak carefully to the mission of Mt. Tabor CEED, to create a vibrant, connected, diverse, and thriving community for seniors.
